Shuvatara is a
private, day school that provides qualitative education to the children of
discerning Nepali parents who are looking for progressive academic
standards, healthy and positive environment and a training for social
responsibility, for both girls and boys.
It now has more than 500 students, 82 staff
and 15 grades are running from infants to class twelve (o and A level) it
was named "Shuvatara" after Mrs. Shuva Gurung, the revered mother of the
founder Director Mrs. Rani Gurung Kakshapati.l Mrs. Shuva Gurung died on
27th May 1994. "Shuva" means auspicious in Nepali, and "Tara" is a "Star"
. The credo of the school is "For God and My Country". |
